I fear what is happening right now. I fear my life is never going to return to normal. I fear death is upon us. I fear vengence will be our demise. I fear New York was the beginning of the end of America's greatness.

We have no idea is Osama Bin Ladin has nuclear weapons, yet we have already crusified him with such bravado. Instead of thinking things through, we have planned the annihilation of an entire country. This attack on America was planned out for many months, even years.

Economically, we are screwed for the next few weeks to months. Businesses, wait, screw businesses, 10,000+ PEOPLE DIED. Think about that for one moment. I bet most of us dont even work for companies that big. entire companies have been wiped out.

On a more selfish note, I fear what i have built over the last few months will be destroyed. I finally obtained something of my own, and my financial situation is in jeopardy. I only have enough money to survive 4 months maximum with no income, and i fear that this depression will last far longer. My beautiful, wonderful girlfriend is in danger too. This war will affect us all, if it happens.

For those of you calling for the blood of every arab person in the world, you are more evil than the terrorists who perpetrated these crimes. You are in the same mindset of Hitler, who believed Jews were the source of the world's problems.

I am not religious, but i find myself praying to god as much as i can now, not for me, but for my family, and the people lost in horrible act yesterday...

The energies you have wasted planning the Middle East's destruction could be better used to raise money for the red cross.

I too, fear for our future.

All I can do is hope, and pray.

I fear a depression, but I pray that it doesn't happen. God will help us

We were on teetering on the verge of a recession before this tragedy befell us. I'm afraid the good times of the 90's are officially over.

Here's the thing. As an AMERICAN, you're entitled to your views. That's the thing here. These people are trying to take away our freedoms by instilling a sense of fear in the public. America has CLEARLY demonstrated today in it's acts of heroism in rescue efforts and the general outpouring of support for the nation (K-Mart sold 88,000 friggin flags today) that we won't take this crap. We have to take it further and punish those who planned these attacks to prevent similar ones from occouring around the globe.

If we must go,fuk we may as well go out with a bang.

We all die and only die once,
I agree, my view of the future is atm not so great.:(
But screw them.this needs to be address with more than the Red Cross.

Man, now you have me thinking. Its been my whole life almost that I've been thinking "What if this is the generation where the sh!t goes down" and I would always say, "no, it hasnt happened this far, it probably wont happen until way into the future." This kind of stuff really makes me hope that we can band together and show the world what we are made of.

I am not affraid, nor have I been. The future is what we make of it. There is no god, we are here alone and must deal with our own problems. I don't let my emotions run me, neither should you.

You have a right to your opinion but i must disagree.

i'm not going to give in to fear, even tho i could. I'm not going to allow this to cloud my vision for my future. I'm going to get angry and i'm going to get even. i'm not talking about going out and killing someone get even, i'm talking about going out and making my business successfull even. i'm talking about living my life better get even.

I'm not going to give in to fear. i refuse to give in to fear and i refuse to let anyone around me give into that fear.

This country has always risen to every challenge, this will be no different. imagine what our forefathers felt after the civil war, are you telling me this is worse than that??

no, I refuse to give in to fear. i refuse to let them win.

If my life changes, if i have to give up some conveniences i can live with that. I will not give in to fear.

You should have been afraid long before this. . .
LA riots, Mcvey, School shootings are you just coming to realize the world is not a fair safe place?
Time to pop your head outa the suburbs. I live in small town anywhere and when something goes wrong and everybody goes "I can't believe it could happen here"
Where and when is just a matter of time.
BTW agree with Platinum you should should have fear but not live in it. In War it is said anyone who doesn't have fear is a fool.

Well said,

I tried to add to it and could not think of any way to say it better.

Very well said PlatinumGold. I'm in complete agreement.
As FDR said...
The only thing to fear is fear itself

I am not afraid of those things. I am afraid of nuclear war. That is my concern...

As we speak, i watch my girlfriend sleep, and it calms me. Maybe there is hope, i only wish there is. My life has been forever changed.

BTW, this was a suburbs versus urban living thread. Everyone in America went "What the fvck?" simultaneously.

Ahhh Nuclear war yes
Nothing more Chilling than when Oppenheimer said "We have become the destroyer of worlds" more or less. . . .
Of that we can only hope the people elected with control of the button use wisdom beyond our emotional response when the coice comes and "They become destroyer of worlds"
I've lived most of my life in the Cold war era 50 miles away from the missle silos in North Dakota "now decommisioned" and pondered the same point many times. I used to look at the maps showing the rings of devastation and trying estimate the damage my small town was going to endure as a child.....
On a positive note the US and many nations have faced greater challenges and have averted it. . .
