I failed the best buy questionaire

My old roommate failed the BestBuy telephone exam too. Despite his MIS degree and decade of experience with computers, and all sorts of customer service experience. I think he blamed it on stupid questions with stupid answers. 🙂

You have to answer those tests like you are Jesus.

I've worked for Circuit City and Best Buy. Circuit City tests were worse. They had like a 100 question test you had to take. The only way you would get an interview is if you answered it like you were a perfect person. There were questions like "Have you ever taken anything from work, even a pen, a post it note, or a sheet of paper?" Most people would think "Well yeah, probably, if I say no they'll just assume I'm BSing them." You had to answer no to questions like that or you wouldn't pass the test to even get an interview.

I just got the call today that I passed my drug test. 😛 So I have orientation on Saturday, then I start selling computers. 😱

Always vote no to the "Have you even stolen anything from work, even a toothpick?" questions...

i wonder if they'd make me take that test.. i don't remember taking it 6 yrs ago... i sorta could use a weekend job for the holiday season...

Some of those questions are meant to trick you. They want to know if they can trust you with their merchandise and also be like the greatest employee in the world.

Computers will sell themselves, you will be selling service plans and $30 usb cables to ignorant customers.

I failed a similar test, it wasn't for Retail but it turned out to be a personality test and I was expecting a Technical test.

They said I have NO personality.

I know quite a few people on here would beg to differ on that assessment
