Ok, started with seti, did RC5 for a while, trying to run Seti again now...

I used to use the GUI client, coz it had pretty graphics, that I could look at once in a while...

But now i want to run the NT CLI. I downloaded seti spy, and seti driver.

questions:
1. how do i minimize the client so its not in my taskbar?
2. b4 wu's took about 9 hours to complete, and now seti spy is estimating under 2 hours?!?!? 1.49 CPU cycles/ FLOP?!?!?
that sounds too good to be true!! is something wrong?!?

i'm on an A7V Tbird at 1Gig...

HEhe, SETISPY tends to be extremely optimistic as it starts a WU. It will change as it gets more WU done. There are options in the Client config part of SETISPY to have the client run hidden, and to set SETISPY to minimize to the system tray. :D

geez... its like a bungee jumper or something...
i dont need that probaly than.
i'm gonna shut it down... looks like a waste of cpu...

one more question. do i have to add a shortcut to the nt client in my startup folder? and also a shortcut to seti driver?

littleprince - SetiSpy isn't a waste of CPU! All of the add-ons that monitor progress do that. It's not their fault, it's the way the SETI client does its processing.

And regarding SetiDriver - you don't need to start BOTH SetiDriver AND the CLI. Just put SetiDriver in the start up and it will automatically start the CLI for you. :)
