I don't want to work Job#2 tonight

MichaelD

This thread has little redeeming value. It's my platform for bitching about having to work two jobs.

God, I love money. It's going to be the death of me...but he who dies with the most toys wins!

Anyone else going to work two jobs today?

What two jobs do you have?

Job#1 and Job#2, of course. 😉

Job#1, I really can't say...I work a 60-hour week, every week, though. I deal with systems and users...that's part of it. No, not a CSR for an ISP.

Job#2, I'm in the tourism industry...tour guide. Have to smile and be nice to nasty, dirty people.

No time for a second job. Of course I consider school my second job since it eats up 6-10 hours per day.

You are correct; I do. It wasn't crappy when I moved in there five years ago, though.

For the amount I would pay in rent for a two-bedroom townhome (with a garage), I can buy a house, which is what I'll have before the end of this year. 🙂 That's why I stay in the sh1thole I live in.

The apt itself isn't that bad, physically. It's the neighbors and the neighborhood.

You are also correct. Unfortunately. But I"m fixing that. JUst cut up four cards yesterday and got a consolidation loan to pay them all off. 🙂 Personal loan, not "debt consolidation" or bankruptcy or anything inane liek that.

It's easier to afford toys if you live in a one bedroom apartment in a crappy neighborhood. Less money for rent translates to more money for computer crap.

You said you didn't want to work your second job today. So don't. What are you going to lose?

Money. And the risk of pissing off my bosses. They are expecting me to come in. Call-ins must be made by noon. It's way past that. I need the job, obviously.

Second jobs can really suck. I've had 2 different one's. The last one was a Telephone CSR. The one before that was holiday help at the local Mervyn's warehouse. That one wasn't too bad. I could just shut-off my brain and I didn't have to talk or be nice to anyone.

amish 🙂

i want a second job, one were i dont have to use my brain, if i ever get one i want to be the weird guy that doesnt talk to anyone, and everyone is scared off...the loner cool guy.....that be cool to have a secret identity😛

the way this world works thouhg i probaly would get promoted faster than at my 'real' job
