Yeah, I enjoy working on and with computers, but lately it's become more of a hobby than a career path. I find myself getting headaches and blurred vision after staring at a monitor for a little while. And programming, while rewarding and interesting, is tough and convoluted for someone like me with almost no logical thought. So why am I majoring in Computer Science? I chose CS because I thought that having a CS degree would land me better jobs than Information Technology or a Business Degree and I wanted to learn how to program well. But now, I don't want a job programming. I wouldn't mind a job where I worked with the hardware aspect of computers, but even still, I have fallen out of the loop lately. I couldn't even tell you how fast the lastest processors are running or which video card is better.
This happens to almost everyone, doesn't it? You get through 3 years of college only to find that you're not as passionate about your career path as you once were. I don't even know what I'd really like to do now. Owning my own business would be cool, but I don't know if I would want to specialize in computer still or move onto my current passion of running. All I know is that I want to finish my CS degree, because that is definitely something I want. I just don't know where to go after I graduate. I could not survive in an office job. Blah.
