I'd rather just see a ban on car alarms. maybe a modernized version that only has flashy lights, and phones the car's owner or so.

I don't think anyone even presumes a car is being stolen when they hear an alarm now.
 
^ this! a few years back i heard a loud door slam (heard it over the car alarm) and a guy walked out of his house, smashed the cars window and then ... silence.

must have been one of those precog car alarms
 
It's not as bad as it used to be. Early car alarms were set off when a high performance car drove by. And a cop car could set them off, or a gust of wind.

I agree and they should get rid of the stupid panic buttons on the remotes.

What's even worst, on some dodge minivan,if you unlock the door using the key instead of the remote, the friking alarm goes off. :thumbsdown:
