Are you saying someone can't have a vendetta and then connect the dots? All the tools are out there and will only get more sophisticated. Or that this information eventually gets absorbed into the ether? Data storage is cheap and freely available.

Forget children, in the corporate world, I can easily see adults exploiting such freely available info in order to climb the corporate ladder. And I'm not even talking about pictures displaying nudity, I'm talking about full-out sex shows.

Look. I've had probably 3 girlfriends that allowed me to take pictures of them naked or having sex with me.

Why? It was fun. As far as the sex pics, they were mainly for her to see what I was seeing from my angle of view...Totally educational.

I've also had one that sent me vast amounts of selfies that were naked, or extreme close ups of her body.

Note: I never posted them to on line forums/sites and I ended up destroying them either once we broke up or not long after... That is the difference. A lot of these naked pics are ex boyfriends or girlfriends posting their pics.

Some are also actually produced porn... There is a rash of professionally produced porn that is filmed to look like true amateur sex tapes and pics that are made to look like selfies... When they are not.

No it wasn't a poor choice of words. I do think that anybody with even an ounce of self-respect would not post naked pictures of themselves all over the internet.

There is a huge difference between saying that and suggesting they are only normal if they want to kill themselves over it. Those are dangerous words.

Read the OP again. IF a woman willingly choses to be a porn star, thats a different issue. However, when a regular woman posts easily identifiable pictures with their private parts showing on the internet, it does feel a little weird.

Regular woman, professional porn star, it makes no difference. It should never be suggested that it's normal to want to kill yourself if nude photos of you make it to the internet. Suicide is never the correct reaction to shame. You are an asshole for suggesting it is a normal response to the situation. The fact that many have committed suicide in situations like this does NOT make it the right choice.

Let me ask you a question. Lets say you come across a picture of your 18 year old daughter on the internet, posing naked, her face showing. How would you feel? Would you simply pass it off as "Oh its just another photo. Whats the big deal?" I don't think so.

Of course I would be upset. I just told you so a few posts up. BUT I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST IT'D BE NORMAL FOR HER TO COMMIT SUICIDE OVER IT.

I never said you directly harassed anyone. I said it was irresponsible and dangerous of you to say "I don't know how these women live with themselves after spreading their naked pics all over the internet. Any normal person would probably kill themselves!" That's a horrible thing for a young woman to read if she has nude selfies floating around on the Internet that she may not be too proud of.

I'm not endorsing posting nude selfies. I'm calling you an asshole for suggesting normal women who have should want to kill themselves. Try reading my posts a little slower. I've never championed posting nude selfies as a harmless activity. I've only said it's not something to kill yourself over.

So i recently started visiting reddit. I usually hang out on /r/India where i discuss politics with fellow countrymen, but i recently discovered the "porn" subreddits such as /r/gonewild, /r/realgirls, /r/legalteens and the variety of subreddits dedicated to different body parts.

What surprised me that in a lot of these pictures, women had their faces clearly visible. And no i am not talking about pornstars, i am talking about regular women that post pictures of their butts, titties and various other parts with their face clearly showing! I don't know how these women live with themselves after spreading their naked pics all over the internet. Any normal person would probably kill themselves!

Another thing i have noticed that most of these women are white, maybe american. So is this an american thing? Is it considered okay in america to post naked selfies of yourself on the internet?

Its 'not okay'. Its a combination of the concept of respect for individual freedom with technology being affordable enough for that sort of subculture. And India isn't far behind with the the number of desi websites offering Indian porn. You should be more concerned about Indian attitudes towards western women/girls in general.
