I don't understand why ppl reply to a thread with a quote and no text. Am I missing something?

If someone has already posted basically what you were going to say anyway, it's easier to just quote them as an indication of your thoughts and a conformation of theirs.

I really think this sh1t gets annoying after a while. Usually after I see three or four of these, I just exit the thread, thereby losing any actual intelligent content that might have been contained therein.

I completely agree. It was funny the first time I saw it, but it seems to ruin perfectly good threads. It's still fun though:D!
