I don't understand why lot of people have creditcard debts even though they have a decent job.

What is really wrong? For that matter, most of you guys might be having a decent job that pays atleast $3500 per month and still have thousands of dollars in credit card debt. I have seen people in our school who make atleast $4000 easily but drive a $500 car, and have thousands in debt. Why is that?

Making money and managing money are two totally seperate things. Retaining what you earn is not always an easy thing. There's needs, wants, tempations. Takes discipline.

I am ususally pretty good for paying off the credit card, however I find I will put things on there that I really want, but by the time it comes to paying for them, i am not as exited about what I bought as I was at the time and don't really feel like paying for it :S

1. They can't manage their money

2. They think that buying the latest toy will some how bring happiness into their lives

3. They must have it now instead of saving up until they actually have the money to buy something

4. They live a life that they can not afford to live (Must keep up with the Jones)

Um I pay off my credit card in full ever month, have an excellent credit rating, and have no trouble borrowing up the wing wang. Oh and I have all kinds of extra cash because I don't make any interest payments on my credit card. You on the other hand are an idiot.

we're just not as cool as you guys are. Eh what does it matter anyway. I make $5500 a month and have about $10K in CC debt, a paid off car, a car payment for 1 more year at $270/month, and a timeshare in Hawaii. Sure I could have saved my money and bought the timeshare with cash, but I wanted it now so I got it. I could have saved about $6000 over the past two years but I wouldn't have gone to Hawaii twice and have experienced all that I've experienced.

For some it's not just about debt, but having fun and enjoying life. If I get into debt, so be it, at least I had fun doing it. Some of you "preachers" need to get out of your cardboard boxes and enjoy what life has for you.
