I don't understand this expression

At work, some co-workers were calling each other "butt pirates".

When/Where did this expression came from and what exactly does it mean? I can guess, but I'd like to hear from you people.

Search engine yielded links that I can't get to at work.

EDIT: I know what it means, but where did it came from and why is really the reason I'm asking.
