Personaly, I've had good to excellent customer service from Sony over the years, and while their products may not all be the absolute best you can buy, it's generally far above what is average in it's category. I've NEVER had any complaint about the way they dealt with warranty or other customer service issues. I guess I'm something of a minor "fanboi", because they've always stood by their products.
I can't think of a single corporation who NEVER does things ( that we consumers might hate), to further their bottom line...
