Had a customer call in with a .dbx file corruption in OE...

She blamed it on us installing a digital phone...

I told her that was imposibble, she disagreed, spoke to our IT guy, he said it was possible.......

So I reinstalled the .dbx files, and everything was ok..

How does setting up a digital phone corrupt the mailboxes on OE?

You can tie in Outlook to a digital phone/pbx, there's even an option to dial a contact from Outlook and it will call them from your digital phone.

Not sure about Outlook Express though.

It was coincedence the two happened together. Your IT guy just didn't want to have a confrontation with the customer.
