I don't see why it's funny when someone has a problem!

I am having trouble with a dual-boot between W2K and W98SE and I explained it and four people made fun of me instead of helping. I still don't understand why pople do that.
Now for my problem.. W98SE was installed first and running fine for six months and I decided to try out W2K so I installed it and when it gave me the option to delete\partiton\add to the HDD only add worked so I went ahead. Everything worked fine but my modem was instaled as a standard modem and connected to the internet at 9.7Kbps so I set up the connection speed atthe highest possible(113,200 or whatever)and installed the drivers for my 3Com\USR External modem which W2K found on the 3Com cd for me. Thats when I started getting the "Remote Access Service" error whenever I tried to click on the internet. I tried shutting off some things and switched Com1-2 and it worked fine ONE time but locked up the system in the middle of the download. Now I just the RAS error. When I tried to reload the OS to repair it I got as far as the installing of the Cab.inf file which it now cannot find on the CD no matter which drive I use. So I think I will try the OS on a new HD drive when I find the time but now I think I'll have to reformat and reinstall W98SE to get rid of the corrupt W2K install 8-( unless someone can help me. I did everything the directions tiold me to and this what happens. I don't see where my error was but would like to understand what hapned. Thanks in advance! Matt

Please repost your issue with a proper title. I am locking this down before it becomes a flame war.

Next time start the thread with, "I need help with Win2000" or "My Win2000 system has problem "foo"" instead of "Windows 2000 is totally WORTHLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". Maybe more people would be willing to help you out.

You should go read my reply to your previous thread.

<< Too bad it got the wrong kind. >>

Usually, when one posts a criticism on a certian topic, others will retailiate - sometimes known as flaming, acting immature, or even insult the person, simply because they disagree on something.
