As title says and Intels spec finder shows I couldn't find any c1 stepping for this chip listed to date while many of the others including 2.0ghz and 2.2ghz of the 400mhz models have them listed.....

I think the 1.8a is coming to the end of its manufacturing life very soon!!!!

watch for the SL6EE chip...It is the 2.26ghz c1 stepping chip. This is likley going to be the best overall total clock ocer. Nioce low multiplier will be a huge hit with DCDDR mobos and should hit 3ghz like all the other c1 stepping chips....

here is the link for ya guys....P4 Spec List

I just mentioned this cause a few eeks back an overclocking site was commenting on the 1.8a as being the best ocer of recent memory when it comes out in the c1 stepping...As of INtel's site this appears not to be happening...

I also commented back about 2-3 weeks ago that Intels current product line was getting quite long and was uncharacteristic of them...When the 3.06ghz comes there will be 6-7 533fsb chips and 5-6 400fsb chips still in production...That is a lot!!!

Yep, the 2.26GHz P4 + GB should be an awesome OC combo. Figuring that OCs in the 3.2GHz+ range should become common place for C1 chips once they reach max production (when the entire product line is on C1 chips), we people will be getting FSBs in the 180-200 range, which will provide the kind of bandwidth RAMBUS users have wet dreams about :D

Duvie - What about this chart? It's still current as of 2 minutes ago on Intel's site. Note the "SL6E6" and "SL6LA" C-1 steppings of the 1.8A chip. I say keep your fingers crossed and hope that this is the correct info. The C-1 2.4Bs that Newegg was selling a few weeks ago were the "SL6EF" sSPec chips, so at least part of this chart is correct.

I really don't see the big deal in the C1 steppings. It's a luck of the the draw with overclocking, C1 or B0 steppings. A buddy of mine got a C1 2.4b from Newegg and could only muster 2.8 no matter the voltage or ram speeds. The only thing I can say is that a C1 has more POTENTIAL to be a great overclocker, but no guarantees.

A friend just hit 3.0 with a 1.8A he was going to sell me... before he tested it :(

And this was a SL63X... I'm starting to forget about waiting on the C1s anymore...

Well that pretty much answered it for me.....

I think 3ghz in either a 1.8a or a 2.26b will sit very nice in a GB DCDDR mobo....167fsb to 176fsb respectively...

Thanks for the clear up guys...The 1.8a and 2.26bs will be the gems for the upcoming furture of insane ocing!!!
