I don't like how every software application is becomming an all-in-one package.

Winamp/WMP/Inser name here can all play/rip/encode/burn, etc
Nero, can burn, encode, edit, etc

I dunno, it's kinda stupid to complain, but I dont need all this sh!t with every program.

I want a program to Encode/Decode MP3/Wav's
I want a program to Burn
I want a program to listen to music
I want a program to watch videos

I download all these damn programs that can do everything, but I only want the program for the 1 thing it was good for to begin with. I don't care about all the extra add-in crap.

More stuff in the package means bigger step on the competition which means customers will buy (use) it because they thing it's better.

May I suggest:

MP3 encoding: lame
Burning: cdrecord/dvdrecord
Listen to music: mpg123, xmms
Watch video: mplayer

Of course, most of those won't run on the OS you're using, at least without some effort...
