I want to buy a new camcorder to start my (hopfully) bright filmmaking career. I made a thread once and asked people what camera to reccomend. Most said the Sony TRV22 and after researching it for a while, I decided I did not need all of the stupid extras like the still camera and so I thought I had decided on the Sony TRV19 and pocket the extra $100. But now I am reading about how Sony's Lithium Ion batteries die out after a year and cost $60 to replace. WTF? What's the point of having a budget camera if the expensive battery will cost more than it in a few years time?
So I need to find a new camera. Something equal to the Sony TRV19 in quality and price (no more than $500). I've looked at the Canons, and the ZR series suck at indoor shooting. Is there really anything else out there or should I just get the TRV19? Thanks for any replies.
