I have read up on this and apparently this threat is almost certainly unconstitutional. The basic logic is that the legislature could have passed a law to give all the electors to Trump BEFORE the election but they can't change their mind after the election because it didn't turn out the way they wanted.
Who would rule on the constitutionality of that? State Supreme Court or the SCOTUS?

You're right, but that's not the way to explain it. State law prevails & they codified the selection of electors into law, long ago, and the method is elections. They can't change state law after the fact, even if the Governor went along.

Recounts are only going to happen in Wisconsin, Georgia, and maybe Arizona. PA will outside the margin for a recount. Wisconsin and Georgia’s margins are to great for a recount to make much change. Arizona could if Biden squeak by by a few hundred votes.

The Georgia recount is going to happen because of Trumps margins but it’s really only for trying to see if they can get Perdue above 50%.

No need to worry about faithless electors. It will be more than 270 to 268. Worst cases scenario for Biden is 279(NV and PA), although I think he will maintain Georgia so really 295.

What's really questionable is that Canadians would more likely have a Socialist NDP Gov't today Vs a Tredeau Liberal Gov't if Jack Layton would have lived !

Jack was truly a Great Politician - I'm not socialist but his approach was truly meaningful.

If he had lived he would be one of the Top World Political negotiators today.

Justin has to follow Jack's legacy - NOT Liberal demands.

I didn’t know but I’m damn happy now. Damn happy. If nothing else I hope this thread kept us on our toes.

Shows how hard it is to beat a sitting President, even one so obviously corrupt and incompetent as this one.

I'm still totally perplexed why the Senate didn't have a GOP bloodbath. It looks like continued GOP control of the Senate. How people could vote for a Lindsey Graham is totally beyond me. McConnell brought home the bacon so that's understandable. We are going to have a basically stalemated four years ahead of us, but the alternative was a whole lot more dismal for the future for the country.

BTW I'm holding Donnie to his promise to leave the country if Biden won.

Like Obama before him, Biden will be sliding into the worst job in history.
He will have more incoming problems than any previous president. Thanks to Donald wrecking something that was hardly perfect to begin with.
I sincerely hope he works on actually fixing problems and doesnt spend too much time attacking the previous administration. I also hope he and his people COMPLETELY ignore anything and everything the Trump family have to say about him for the next four years. And we all know damn well they will be running their mouths constantly, until the media finally gets wise and stop giving them any attention.

Where TF to start? Before he can even get on with "his work".

Trump left President Biden with a big mess to clean up. Have to kill the contracts for the bullshit magical wall, get rid of the Muslim ban, fix the tax code, address the pandemic.

And he'll probably need somebody to remove The Club that Trump no doubt left on the White House limo.

Surprised it does not say tRump on that device, as he never misses an opportunity to brand in tRump fashion.

More than ever.
This entire election was an unconstitional sham.
Or you lost fair and square because your party put forth an incompetent psychopath.

Hopefully Trump’s conduct over the last two months has shown you how very, very fortunate the country is that Trump is losing his office.

You might want to schedule a therapy session to deal with your obvious delusions. Too bad your party never thought universal health care was worth it. Behavioral health might be more easily accessible for you. We know there is much work ahead, but you can do it. We are here to support you.

These people are not savable and simply have no civic contributions to make to a functioning Western democracy.
