OMG....I really don't know!

I have the following:

7 x chase cards
4 x citi cards
2 x discover
2 x american express
1 x capital one
1 x hsbc

total 18 cards. How the hell am I gonna remember the interest rate for each one? Actually, I never care.

if you care about the interest rate on your credit card, you shouldn't be using one.

You must be forced to wear a man purse with that much plastic.

That tells me you don't read your statements. So there could be fees and charges on there you don't know about.

I only carry a few with me, 1 amex starwood, 1 citi MTVutm, 1 chase, and the 1 discover card always on my keychain.

I have a business card holder for all my card at home. it fits rather nicely.

I read all the statements, there aren't so many of them since the ones i don't use won't send out statement.

Your CC issuer tells you everything including fees and charges, you just need to read the disclosure.

there is this thing called yodlee, it can show you activities on all your accounts, so I know it if there are charges on the card I don't use.

there you go, my point is you should NEVER carry a balance on CC unless you have 0% APR or just very low APR. I rolled a 10k balance for 2 years before I have to pay it back. it is a lot harder to get a CC these days, esp the one with 0% apr and no BT fee.

I will laugh once 75% of your cards slap annual and inactivity fees on you, and you never no it until you're in collections for a few thousand dollars.

So... why do you have 7 chase cards

Chase offered me some really good bonus to open the card. if the incentive is over $200, i am definitely on it.

then they started giving out $20+ for signing credit protector for each of my cards.

now I use all chase cards for anything under 1 dollar. they write it off if the month end closing is under 1 dollar.

Actually, you should care about credit card rates. Without suckers who carry a balance, us who pay it off every month wouldn't be able to take advantage of using a credit card.

Please feel free to laugh.

I am not aware any of my cards has inactivities fees. can you name any card issuers that slap inactivity fee on their card? if my card is inactive, they will just close the card.

I only have two cards with annual fees, my amex starwood and chase sapphire. i will close them when the 1st year waiver is almost over.

Most don't yet... but they'll be getting around to it shortly.

Soon you'll have only a few cards. Inactivity fees are becoming far more common: http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2009/news/0910/gallery.credit_card_evil_things/3.html

"many fees that were unusual are becoming commonplace. Earlier this month, for instance, some Bank of America customers were shocked to learn that their no-fee credit cards would be subject to a new annual fee...Fifth Third Bank recently introduced a $19 inactivity fee for customers who don't charge anything for 12 months, and Citibank is hitting some consumers with a fee if they put less than $2,400 on their card annually."

Credit card companies are just now beginning to rally hard against people with many cards.

How is your life better for having 18 cards open?

You stated that you had rolled a balance around interest free for a year. Was the effort worth the return?

Thanks. I didn't feel like doing what someone else could have googled just as easily. :)

Oh, and I just caught this part of the OP which I find surprising nobody has mentioned yet:

I have made thousands in cash and rewards.

I rolled the balance for 2 years, it was definitely worth it to have 10k to play with. I wouldn't do it for more than one card tho. There were times when I freaked out before I almost forget to make the min. payment.
