...so I was kinda curious about something. Are the games really more "advanced" than games for the PC. I mean, in a real world situation, how would the best of Xbox compare to the PC's best? Say MOHAA or Wolfenstein?

Do you think if they are more advanced that this will just raise the bar for PC games?

I'm not looking for a flame war or anything, but I was just wondering as I saw a few commercials for some good looking Xbox games.

Well from a hardware side, the Xbox is a p3 733, with a nVidia NV25 (iirc) gfx chip

This is about on par with, again, iirc, about the GF4, maybe a little better.

But, the advantage of Xbox (and any games console) is that the game developers only have to get it working with one gfx chip instead of the x number that there are in the PC market.

So in this way the Xbox game developers can push the GPU and CPU to their limits by the end of the hardware's life, and it will be a very mature platform which they know well :)

As for best PC vs best Xbox, the games are aimed at a different type of player. PC is, mainly, games that take a long time to get into/complete, and mainly, XBox etc games are ones that you can pick up, play for an hour and get some fun out of them.

Just my £0.02 and all facts are from memory, so may not be totally accurate :)
