The problem with these threads is that you automatically exclude yourself from the group as soon as you reply.

I guess I'm not in the "Apathy Club." meh...

Damn it. Alright this has been on my mind since the original thread was created.

First let me say that I am in no way trying to moderate these forums. The Mods do an EXCELLENT job here given all the Ipod scams, and all the other crap in this forum. This is mainly me speaking my mind (which is my right as in American).

I feel that religion in ATOT is fine to a certain extent. I personally do not think we should have the "Bible in a Year" thread though. Yes, there is a "If you dont like it, don't click it" theory but it is just one of the MANY MANY religions out there. We would have to have a thread for all religions (Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Atheist, and all the rest). We are talking multiple threads of many different beliefs that would pollute the forums. No religion is "right" for everybody. One religion doesnt have the answer for everybody. ATOT would turn into ATRB (AnandTech Religions & Beliefs) and I don't think any of us want that. Overall, these threads are going to have people flaming eachother over why their religion is "better". Well you know what? It isnt. It's all about your own personal beliefs. There is no set religion. Diversity is one thing that makes America great.

Im not saying exclude Religion all together. I just dont think we need parts of the bible posted everyday.

By the way, im Catholic. And if you aren't, that is cool by me.

So why not have a "Buddhism in a Year" thread? I would probably find that very interesting if it could be kept constructive. And I don't see how it could pollute the forums any worse than all that neffing crap...

You'd have to have the Torah, Koran and all the other books/scriptures in order to be fair and not exclude anyone.
