I don't get places like six flags.

I went to six flags for the first time just awhile back. I had a hard time grasping why anyone would pay $50 to go to a place like that. I used a buy 1 get 1 free thing, so i only paid $25, but after 4 hours i was bored out of my mind. We got their when it opened(10?) and it was on a tuesday, so the place was empty. Only waiting you had to do was the time it took you to run through all the zig zag lines. I went on every ride that was open like 5 times. I had fun the first couple times, but the 30 secs of fun became boring. What really got me is that everyone was saying that on a normal day, you have to wait up to like 2 hours for that 30secs. I couldnt imagine that, i supose if you had to wait 1-2 hours per ride you would only get around to everything once, and maybe your favorite rides twice....I wont be back.

$50 here gets you a season pass to Kentucky Kingdom, now a Six Flags park, and admission to other Six Flag parks, too. Enough rides to keep me happy for a day, not to mention the kiddos, too.

Such a provocative topic for thought.
So much that you had to post it ... twice!

I think you fail to acknowledge that maybe your the exception rather then the rule. Obviously people find something exciting and attractive enough about amusement parks to want to go there more then once and to wait an hour or two for a ride. So you don't have fun at amusement parks, go find something else to do... not everyone likes the things you do for fun either

The way you talk about it, it's like you weren't expecting it to be like that...
Six Flag's operates a bunch of parks now.. the one in Ohio i frequented when I lived there, it has 13 coasters, I think, which is great for me. I love to have my head ringing when I leave a park :D

Their what is too hyped up? Their rides? Some of the rides, yes, aren't that great but many are and are worth riding over and over for the thrill.

The issue here is that everyone likes different things and "adult" amusement parks aren't for you. Like a previous poster stated, others obviously like it since they make money :)

Like pop music and bland car designs, enough people like them to make money, and that's what matters.

Most of them were worth riding once or twice, but when you start to recognice the loop patterns, gets a little old. I probably should have spaced apart each ride.

oh, i have such poor grammer i didnt even notice...

'grammer'...heh...cute.

Seriously, it's called an 'amusement' park for a reason...it's for amusement, not for analyzing 'loop patterns'! Get some cotton candy, play a few games, ride some rides, people watch.

the NJ one is not bad if u go early enough.. you can do all the rides.. but the big problem is the size of the line. Basically you get on line for batman & robin for 1-1.5 hours to enjoy a 30 sec ride.

For one day, you spend 4-6 hours just waiting on line for 3-4 rides. It kinda suck after that

I love amusement parks. Especially when there is a speed slide and you get to hand the ladies there tops to there swimming suits after they come down. That like never gets boring :D

It doesn't sound like you have been to Cedar Point. It will change your perspective on amusement parks.
