I don't get it, why is everyone blaming Kobe for not taking shots?

I would think EVERYONE would say to pass the ball to the open player when you are getting triple teamed coming off a screen. And thats what he did. Except his teamates didn't hit the shots. What else is he supposed to do?

So then he later goes on his own trying to beat the triple team and results in extremely poor shooting...

I watched the entire game. He played how anyone would want a person to play.

So why does everyone think hes trying to send a message or something, or acting like a child. Do they want him to force the issue (as he usually does) or not? How is this Kobe's fault?

Because, psychologically, that's what they want to see him do so they can flame him. Therefore, their mind makes them believe that it's what he's doing. They're just looking for something else to dump on the guy. I didn't see all of it, but from what I saw he's playing normally.

Too many players try and force shots, it's good to hear about people using good ball control.

i have *never* heard him blamed for not taking shots. the only thing i've heard from sports people is that he takes too many shots and doesn't pass the ball enough.

he SHOULD take the shots, because he's good enough that he's got a better chance of making them than his teammates.

that said, i blame phil jackson for criticizing his shot count. way to go phil, alienate your best player right before the playoffs.

He only took one shot in the first half, even Gary Payton said he's never seen Kobe take only one shot. Kobe made three field goals the whole game and no one should be critical of him?

When they are doing well Kobe gets the credit, when they lose guess who is going to get blamed?

Yeah he took one shot because he was getting triple teamed as soon as he touched the ball. So really, do people want him to force the issue or not? People have been saying hes shooting too much so he passed. Isn't that what people wanted?

He made three field goals, okay. He didn't take many shots until he started forcing them... which I THINK people want him to do... wait, I think people don't want him to.... wait I'm confused.
