I dont get it?? Why go ECCp-109?

I dont get it? I've been working on RC5 for over a year now. Why are people stopping Rc5 and trying ECCp-109 instead?? Can anyone tell me what the big deal is??

Some people were very disgusted at the way a TeAm member, David McOwen, was treated by D.net when he was charged and fined by his current employer, a school.

ECCp will be over by the end of the year

and the ECCp TeAm used to be ranked number 1, now we have dropped several places
we are struggling
we want to get back on top before the project ends
then a lot of eccp people may go to rc5...

I just started distributed again after a serveral year break (did SETI back then). Chose ECCp-109 because that looked like where I could make the most difference w/ the new XP1900. Chuggin' along at a healthy 112 DP's a day and quickly moving up through the ranks (of the dead people, hehe ). Need to get the laptop started on this too... Actually, maybe I could slip it on my roomates dinosaur cyrix w/o her knowing. I'm switching to RC5 when ECCp is done.
