I've had nothing but excellent dealings with them. Take for example an RMA I recently put in. Purchased a Transcend 4gb SDHC for my 8330. The original they shipped fast and received it the other day. Card came up DOA (Tried in my 8330 and in a couple of card readers - both rated for SDHC). Received an email yesterday saying the return is not worth my time so they would either send a replacement or a refund. How many etailers or retailers would take my word for it without receiving the card back to test it? Not many. Love Newegg.

Yep... I know any retailer growing at a phenominal rate like they have is going to experience some problems, but my every transaction with the egg has been positive.

Only really bad experience I had dealing with newegg was the UPS's problem, not Newegg's. (UPS played "hide the package" and stuck it underneath our deck where it took me three days to find)

I haven't read/heard anything that would even make me think twice about buying there.

NewEgg is a class act.

Better than them delivering your PC case to the wrong house. Twice.

Would have been a third time if I didn't camp and wait for the truck to pass by and chase it down on bike.

Maybe "Hide the package" isn't the best term to use here.

or

"Was it hidden under your poop deck?"

I just got a picture of this tall thin geeky guy riding his grandpa's bike with front basket, and bell down the road chasing a UPS truck.... :D

*gets a flashback of the scene from Goonies where the guy takes some little girl's bike and gets dragged by a car*

And I'm picturing Dorothy, with Toto on the basket, from the Wizard of Oz.

Better than your Fedex driver living a mile from you and not having any other deliveries around your place so they decide instead of coming all the way to deliver the package to you they would scan it as delivered at 3pm and deliver it in their personal vehicle after they got off work.

I got an alert at 3PM saying my package was delivered. The alert was delayed about 5mins from the actual delivery time on the site. I go outside to find my two packages worth $800 (new PC parts) and i see nothing. It's cloudy/windy and about to rain, i check EVERYWHERE again, nothing. I get in my truck to drive around and see if it was accidentally delivered to one of my neighbors, nothing.

It's starting to rain. I picture my $800 of hardware and P182 sitting in the rain somewhere. I call the 1-800-fedex number and after explaining to the CSR they submitted a trace on the package and actually called my local fedex warehouse.

The manager at the warehouse said he tried calling my drivers cellphone but he got her voicemail. He left a voicemail and the CSR said he would get back to me when she called back.

So i'm sitting on my sofa for about an hour or so after all this, very depressed. It's pouring outside. Around 6pm i hear a horn blow, i race outside to find my fedex driver in her honda accord with one of my two packages in her hand. She proceeded to tell me the story on how it was faster for her to just bring it to me after work or whatever.

I was just excited to have my stuff. I just grabbed my two packages and hauled ass inside the house before they got wet.

How is his situation better than the Fedex driver taking care of it for you personally? I'd be thrilled if a delivery person decided to deliver my packages on the way home... it means that he/she knows about where my house is, and there's a pretty decent chance that it'll actually be delivered rather than returned to the hub as undeliverable.

Because i sat around for 3 hours thinking someone stole my packages or that they were sitting at a neighbors house getting soaked?

Just an update. Received the replacement card shipped via UPS 3 day free of charge. Card displayed properly in my Curve. Ruby from customer service handled the transaction quickly and professionally. Newegg FTW!

I've had a couple issues with Newegg for various reasons over years buying from them, but customer service has corrected every problem promptly.

Even though they don't always have the lowest price I almost always choose to buy from them because the peace of mind is well worth paying a little extra for.

Ya, I had a router that I returned. I said I was fine with the restocking fee, but then they said that since I was fine with it they would waive it.

Love newegg. Great customer service and great prices.

bought a computer case from them and it had a few missing parts. I emailed them and mentioned the parts, they contact the manufacturer and they ship me all the missing parts via certified mail.

I have conducted two RMA's with Newegg from here in Iraq, only 7 days to receive the items.

Oh yeah they will ship to us here as well, unlike most companies.....

I love newegg. They usually have some of the best prices on the internet and their customer service is excellent. I had to RMA a problematic hard drive for my quad build. Called them up and they said just pack it up and we will ship you a new one. I got my new hard drive by the end of the week, sent the package in on a monday. My dad is very picky about where he buys his parts from now because he hates TigerDirect's customer service and only likes a few pricewatch dealers but he loves neweggs prices and customer service (free or $5 3-5 day shipping on most items is great even if it is UPS).

While no one is 100% I firmly believe 90% of those having problems with newegg are either scamming them or simply found better pricing somewhere else/bought the item locally out of impatience and are looking for a way out of the deal.
