I really like WP7 and will likely sell my Droid X for one once they hit Verizon. For the time I had the HD7, I honestly felt it was more efficient than iOS or Android. I can't quantify it, but I just found myself messing less with my phone to get the information I needed. And the entire OS was so smooth and fast and I could uninstall all carrier apps with no problem. Having a native Netflix app was great and something I miss with Android; nothing like being able to stream items from my watch instantly queue any time.

Square tile widgets being your "homescreen" is the suck. But then, Im someone who likes a nice GUI, bells and whistles, and graphics. So YMMV :)

Definitely YMMV, because I HATE nice GUIs, bells and whistles and ESPECIALLY graphics. I think you're pretty much alone in your love for those things blackangst.

I wouldn't mind playing around with a WP7 phone, but there doesn't even appear to be any inbound for Verizon. I'm saddened by that, because I expect I'll want to stick with Android, but I'd at least like to confirm one way or the other. Especially after a service pack/major update, I think it could be a good platform, especially considering Microsoft is holding a tight leash on the platform. I love Android, but recognize there is a real problem in the overall approach by the market... and it forces a lot of research to determine which will be a good phone, likely to receive strong community/developer support, and how likely it will get official updates in a timely manner.

I've been treated quite well with my Moto Droid, but this Spring/Summer I'll want to get an LTE Android phone, and I don't want to choose the wrong phone.

I think WP7 hits the Big Red in Q1 of this year.

Well, between you and I am alone, yes. But I certainly am not when it comes to the love of eye candy :) And yes, thats why I said YMMV.
