i do not have enough money to stay 4 nights anywhere near NYC

anyone with a spare room want to help a brother out? i'm supposed to get there on thursday the 21st and leave monday morning the 25th.


edit: i can swing about $50 a night if someone knows a decent cheap hostel

The Lonely Planet guidebooks (at the book store) usually lists hostels with prices and a short review.

You might even ask people at the Lonely Planet forums about hostel experiences in NYC. I asked some really specific questions about the trains in Tokyo and places to stay Phuket, and I got lots of good answers there.
