If you haven't tried it, and you like chilli, I heartily recommend it, and I speak as someone who doesn't really like Tabasco (too 'pepper' and vinegar flavoured for my liking).

We grow a range of chilli plants so I have just been drying those and then crushing them up into a brutal chilli powder using the mortar and pestle for a while, but this caught my eye, and I am glad I gave it a shot

It's kinda fruity (it's supposed to be jamaican style or something) and quite reasonably hot :)

While I'm always partial to Louisiana hot sauce for most day-to-day seasoning, I've recently discovered how nice some Cholula can be (also chilli-based.)

I'm an American. I buy hot sauce at the local Huge Mart by the gallon for pennies. How can any hot sauce beat that price?

The Cholula's a bit too mild for me. I like regular Tabasco as my base sauce, and go hotter from there.

I like that one and the garlic one as well. I go on sales calls there and get all sorts of free hot sauce everytime I go there.

Probably can't, except maybe the home-grown variety, and that depends on how you value your time I suppose :)

I'm kind of a hot sauce fanatic and have all kinds of crazy ones and a few which I consider the best hot sauce out there. That being said, all the tobasco sauces are really pretty good - the jalepeno and chipotle ones including the habenero.

I just made up a batch of this the other day. It is by far the hottest and tastiest sauce that I have ever tasted. Somebody on this forum actually posted the recipe -- no idea who it was, but thanks a bunch.

From that link:

"The term Mataguerro can be roughly traslated as "kill pale ones" in Spanish, and for good reason."

LOL!

What's odd is that I really don't like regular Tabasco, it tastes like spicey vinager to me. But Tobasco Habanero is one of my favorites, a good bit of heat and a very 'bright' flavor.

Same thoughts as me. You couldn't give me regular tabassco. It's first ingredient is indeed vinegar. Bleh. The habanero flavored one has a nice tropical tang to it that works okay with the vinegar base.

Likewise, as mentioned in the OP ;)

I love love lvoe the green Tabasco sauce. It's not hot at all, but the flavour is awesome! Regular Tabasco is not very good, it just tastes like vinegar.
