I didn't realize there were so few Fuddrucker's

Apparently there are only 31. One is near me, but the chain is up for sale, so who knows what will happen.

I like it, though it's not good enough to be a real top pick. One unique thing about it had been the melted cheese - or something orange - you could put on, but that's gone now with the virus. Have you heard of them, been to them, opinions?

There is one here, but I haven't eaten at it in years. I can't actually remember the last time I ate at a Fuddruckers - maybe 20+ years ago? There are better options...

There is one in Round Rock, TX. I went there once about 8 years ago. It was alright. Didn't go back since.

That's b/c they all changed their name:

I haven't been since I was very young. Now that I am older i can't imagine their burgers are any better than what you would get at a place like Red Robbin or Five Guys or Smash Burger.

Last I knew there was still one in Omaha, though I'm pretty sure it shrank to a smaller location at some point in the past 15 years. I went there once, it was fine.

There used to be around 4-5 of them around where I live, now the closest one is over 5hrs away. Their burgers are okay, nothing great about them. Truth is we make better burgers from scratch.

That's true of the overwhelming majority of burger places though.

im surprised there's any left.
they declared bankruptcy years ago.

there was one about 10 minutes from my home (already permanently closed) and another one about 20 minutes away (not sure about the status on that one)...there are in the Dallas area....we have been maybe 3 times in the past year or so...

still have an used $25 gift card for them 🙁

They have one of those at Foxwoods, but I never went. If I wanted a high-end burger experience at a casino, I'd probably go to Bobby's Burger Palace at Mohegan Sun instead. Bobby Flay might be a jerk in person, but he makes a damn good spiked milkshake.

But, hey, I'm down for a visit before it closes. Can we invite Brianmanahan to come with us?

No fuckrudders in my area so I will have to hit up a Roy Rogers if I want a milkshake.
My only problem of course is what happens if the boys find out I have a milkshake........

First one I had eaten at was in Saudi back in the 90's. They used to have a few around the ATL area but now I think the only around is up in Commerce. Last time I been in one was probably 10 years ago in Pigeon Forge. I thought they were decent at the time.

We ate at one last year in the Miami area. We were on our way to the keys via Sarasota. Anyway, from what I remember it wasn't bad. I got a burger and it tasted good and the prices seemed in line with a place like that would charge.

I think we used to have a couple near where I grew up in Colorado, went into the military and they were gone before I got out.

i think you confused company owned stores with the total number of stores. there's only 31 company owned stores, there's a couple multiples of that franchised. there's 40 fudds in texas alone.

source: a friend is GC at lubys and i worked the cheeseburger in paradise acquisition.

The last couple I was aware of in Atlanta closed during the pandemic. Nearest one now is almost 70 miles outside of Atlanta. I loved them. I would always order the one pound burger and put lots of what I wanted on it. Once again Atlanta does food wrong--by killing good eating places.

I've occasionally eaten their food since around 1993 or so, but it's probably been at least 10 years since I've been in one. The local one closed down a few years ago, and now the closest location is 100+ miles away down into SC.

The whole crazy amount of toppings thing is kinda cool the first few times, but really their burgers are just so-so. What sticks out remembering eating there though was their milkshakes. They were pretty freaking good.
