I did something very illegal.

I drove my MR2 around like this!

If the cops got a hold of me they woulda thrown the book at me.

Illegal? Yes.
Stupid? Maybe.
Fun? OMGWTFBBQ! yes!

i have to say driving that low without a door is amazing fun. i had to do that in Jlee's car when i was painting it. and i bet that did wonders for your power to weight you have to be missing 100+lbs from the car now your gonna find it slow when it back to full street trim. but i dont blame you for doing it i would have after i got it running again also!

hhaa, yes it was indeed exhilarating. I was only going 35mph and looked down beside me at the ground moving - I laughed gleefully. Could have rubbed my elbow if I wanted.
I kept thinking what I would say if a cop did pull me over, "ummm, is there a problem officer?"
haha, what would you do Jlee?

I probably wouldn't write you for it if you were close to home...just tell you to GTFO and put it back together before you drive it again. 😛

headlights, wranglers have them.

Not sure if they still do it but you use to be able to get Daytime only driving inspections.

The picture shows he has wipers and turn signals. So other than maybe headlights it may still pass inspection.

He's missing his side mirrors too. I believe some states require the side mirrors to be road legal. You're supposed to relocate the side mirror mount from the door to the side of the vehicle body. There are plenty of cheap kits to do that for wranglers, but I doubt there are ones for an old MR2. 😉

yep forgot. When i did inspections in NC you had to have the driver but the pass missing was ok if I remember. Been a long time since I did that.

Stupid, yes. Illegal, probably not, if it had license plates and all the lights worked.
A cop could have stopped you and ticketed you or maybe had it towed. Depends
on the state, amount of traffic and the mood of the officer.

There's an old Civic being "fixed" at the shop next door to my work. The kid drove it there with no hood, no bumpers, and no brakes! Only the latter is being repaired. Looks like it could fall apart any minute. The laugh is it has a cold air intake and new ricer wheels installed.

This reminded me of it. 😀
