In my haste to build up my dual 2.8 Xeon rig, I managed to miss one itty-bitty detail. :Q The IBM xSeries server I purchased has one fewer pin holes per processor socket than the 2.8 Xeons I bought.
Yep, I wasn't paying attention, and managed to pick up a server with a "603" board and(in a seperate deal) a pair of "604" processors.
On the plus side, there's two things: a) I've learned an important lesson(albeit expensive), and b) now of course the ONLY solution for a self-confessed DC nut like myself is get the correct components for each of the ones I have and build twice as many servers as orignally planned!
