I did something for the First Time in Almost Three Years

For the first time in almost three years, I have Changed my avatar from Old Glory to the gorilla. I changed it to the flag shortly after 9/11 and have kept it through thick and thin ever since. Why the change now? Meh. Who knows, I guess I needed change. How about a swan song for old glory?

the whole post-9/11 flag thing is sorta done (and has been since 6 months later).

every time I'm driving behind a car with a 9/11 bumper sticker, I kinda want to ram into their rear end as hard as possible.


edit: I just realized that I'm probably going to get flamed for that post... I used to work in the south tower. I hate being reminded of the whole thing every time I get stuck in traffic because some soccer mom wanted to show her support by putting a sticker on her SUV 3 years ago.

no flames from me - i completely agree

false patriotism is worse than no patriotism. they didn't give a rat's ass about the flag on 9/10, but on 9/12, everybody just HAD to have one.

now they're fading, peeling messes that are disrespectful to our flag and an insult to the memories of those lost.

A flag should be in heart, not sticked on the rear bumper. If you wanted one, you should had it raised on the front right o fyour car, not sticked in the rear
