There?s a big tree that overhangs into my back garden and drops all these little berries everywhere, this not only makes a mess but looks unsightly too.

I decided today would be a good day to try and cut back the over hanging branches while the weather?s currently holding up. I started by chopping down some of the smaller over hanging branches with some old garden shears, I then rapidly moved on to sawing half the tree down. This tree has been a real thorn in my side as the local council never cuts it back, even though it?s not my damn tree but one that?s a part of the footpath behind my garden.

I then bunched together all the branches I cut down and proceeded to cut them up into smaller pieces so that it wouldn?t split the bag. This was the most laborious part which took me an absolute age.

After cutting all the branches into smaller pieces I then chucked them into a fairly strong bin bag and then into the garden bin.

As sad as it may seem I am actually pleased with myself that I?ve got stuck in and done some manual labour for once, especially since it benefited me being my own garden and all. Usually I would have just paid someone else to do it.

Biscuit for me? :D

I told 2 laborers once that they had to hand dig a swimming pool inside of a hotel because we couldnt take a backhoe inside. They didnt like the idea but they were willing to do it. I of course was joking with them.

They impressed me....you do not :)

So did I- I used one of those hand tillers, and now I have a quarter sized blister in the middle of my hand. WTF? How does a blister form there???

You should butcher all the trees that drop acorns next. Then get the ones that drop leaves. Any yard not as clean as a golf course is completely unnatural and disgusting.

I reread you post and thought of you talking with a British accent. I don't know why, but I really got a chuckle out of it.

I should really cut down on the drinking.

I?ve just come back from a night on the town. It was my girlfriend's mate's birthday so a few of us went out to celebrate it.

I've got a few people around mine just chilling ATM. I'm hoping they go soon so I can have some sex with my GF. :D

Indeed, on both accounts.

be careful butchering trees that aren't yours, they may force you to replace it if you mangled it in a way that leads to infestation/death and eventual removal/replacement. you should prune the correct way.
