There?s a big tree that overhangs into my back garden and drops all these little berries everywhere, this not only makes a mess but looks unsightly too.
I decided today would be a good day to try and cut back the over hanging branches while the weather?s currently holding up. I started by chopping down some of the smaller over hanging branches with some old garden shears, I then rapidly moved on to sawing half the tree down. This tree has been a real thorn in my side as the local council never cuts it back, even though it?s not my damn tree but one that?s a part of the footpath behind my garden.
I then bunched together all the branches I cut down and proceeded to cut them up into smaller pieces so that it wouldn?t split the bag. This was the most laborious part which took me an absolute age.
After cutting all the branches into smaller pieces I then chucked them into a fairly strong bin bag and then into the garden bin.
As sad as it may seem I am actually pleased with myself that I?ve got stuck in and done some manual labour for once, especially since it benefited me being my own garden and all. Usually I would have just paid someone else to do it.
Biscuit for me?
