I did it! I was a nervous wreck, but now feel so much better.

I turned in my resignation today along with my two weeks notice.

I was so nervous before telling my boss, but he was completely cool with it and said he understands completely.

Two weeks left here then I get paid a lump sum of my saved up two weeks vacation time afterwards. Then I'm off to my new job.

😀

I read this story once about some girl who quit with no notice and swore out her boss. Years later, she was applying for a job somewhere and went in for an interview and her old boss was the interviewer.

Anyway, it reminds me of that ancient proverb.....burn not thy bridges.

Yep....things like that happen all the time. A friend of mine told his boss what to go do with himself, then applied with another company he thought was a sure bet (Think is was Owen's Corning, a huge corporation.). Turns out the head of the department was his former boss's brother-in-law. Heheheh, that didn't work out 🙂 Ended up working at Bell Tire replacing tires for 5 months until he found another job. On top of that I think he's only making like $300 a year more now with half the health insurance.

LOL, well I'm leaving on good terms here. But there was a point and time where I would have been tempted to tell everyone what I think of them.

I didn't feel like doing sh!t today at work, guess I've mentally checked out now that I told them I was leaving.

Yep, got one waiting for me. I'm gonna finish out these two weeks here, then take off a week before starting the new job.

Sucks having all these people here at work telling me they'll miss me and they're happy for me but wish I weren't leaving, makes it harder. 🙁
