I did it, I broke 4000

I have finally broken 4000 3dmarks in 3dmark03 with my passively cooled 9600pro running omega cat 4.6's oced to 485/700

That's pretty sweet, especially considering you have only 4 pipes on that card.

passive gooling is where teh ghosts ans tuff jsut stand there making scary sounds instead of actually attacking you. I'm so glad I can't spell. It means I get ssay stupid stuff like this.

i have no benchmark goals as i cannot play them; tweaking a benchmark has very little relation to actual gameplay . . . anyway, my Radeon 8500-128 was pretty lost in 3dMark03 . . .

. . . i bumped my score up another way . . . i r&r'd the 8500 with a 9800xt last week. . .





i guess my "new" 3dMark03 "goal" would be 7,000. (i'm ~6600)

I just broke 4000 on the demo with an overclocked 5700u, it feels great! (4120 to be exact)

I had bought a 9800pro but it was doa so I had to rma it to newegg, i was ordering a x800xt rom gateway but my date got pushed all the way back to teh 7/20 so I am canelling that order. I am in the market for a new next gen card. I guess that since the x800xt's are being pused out so far I may end up getting the 6800gt I had orgonally planned upon.

And the system is good enough for now. I am going to upgrade to a s939 with PCIe around my birthday in november.

What do you guys use, I have never like fraps, I have ut2k4 but it isn't installed right now. I have the quake3 demo installed and I have x2 the threat. I am gona play with it's built in benchmark tonight.

X2:1280x960 w: 4 and 4: average 19.6fps
X2:1280x960 w: 2 and 2: average 36.5fps

I usually play it at the 4 an 4 and it doesn't really visibly stutter ever.
