Hi all, I recently did a drop in upgrade from a 3600 to a 5800x, and I’m not getting a post on my box. From what I understand, the board should be compatible.

Any thoughts? I’ll swap back to the 3600 shortly to get back up, but would be curious what the issue is.

did you actually flash the BIOS to at least 3001? The newest is 3405.

Make sure the CPU is seated properly in the socket. Make sure the heat sink is mounted properly. Make sure the heat sink fan(s) are connected to the correct headers on the motherboard. Make sure you didn't accidentally disconnect or move something else while making the change (like the RAM or GPU).
