Hello All.
My laptop is a Dell 14R(5437) touchscreen. I'm using windows 8,1 The bluetooth adapter is atheros.
The issues happened last week. I bought the 66 Audio BTS bluetooth headphones. I was able to pair the headset fine, but I wasn't able to use them. I was not able to hear sound. They were paired and I could see them, but I was getting zero sound. It was such a frustrating experience.
I have tried to update the bluetooth adapter. It said that everything was updated. I searched playback devices and my headset wasn't listed. I searched online for answers. I tried a few remedies such as going into (services.msc>>bluetooth support services>>switch the startup to automatic) It didn't help.
Finally, I deleted the bluetooth software altogether. I then went to the dell driver download page and looked for the atheros download link. I have not been able to find it. I downloaded the Intel network with bluetooth drivers instead. Once it was downloaded on my laptop I checked out device manager and noticed a generic bluetooth adapter, I think this is wrong because now it will not even notice my headset. It acts like my headset is invisible. I need the atheros driver.
I have been trying to fix this for hours now. I am very tired. All for a bluetooth headset. Where can I find the atheros drivers for my bluetooth adapter?
Thank you.
