Yea, I'm bored...it's Friday :)

I got married 6 months ago and since then I have had to learn how to cook. My wife gets home a few hours later than me so I just cook for both of us. Well, I came across a kick ass recipe from my grandma and made it the other day and it was damn good. So since I'm bored out of my mind, I figured I'd share it with my AT friends and if they like it, they can paypal me :)

Keep in mind I am Italian so everything I can cook has to do with pasta, pizza, or bread. So here it is....the perfect recipe that even a moron could do (I am proof).

Pepperoni Bread

You need bread dough, and pepperoni sticks.

1. Get some bread dough.
2. Roll into 8x11 square
3. Cut and layout pepperoni like a checkerboard on the bread.
4. Roll dough and pinch ends to close.
5. Let rise for 30 mins.
6. Bake for 15-20 mins at 400 degrees.
7. Paypal me my money!

Hope you guys like it!

Needs cheese. Add about 1 cup of mozzerella to that recipie and it's golden!

Hmmmm..... What kind of bread dough are we talkin' here? I couldn't make bread if you paid me, but I know they sell some premade frozen stuff at the grocery store.

I just go to my local Italian fruit market and they have bags in a freezer for a buck each. Cheese sounds damn good and I may have to try that next :)

Okay, adding the cheese is starting to turn this into a calzone....

I worked at a bar/pizzaria (sp?) when I was in high school. I used to take a slab of pizza dough, place pepperoni like you mentioned, mozarella, and a truck load of garlic on it, roll it up and run it through the pizza oven....

Mmmmmmm......Goooood.

I don't like Pepperoni...

How do you know? Maybe you've just never had good pepperoni...

In the middle. Since this is a rolled-pizza-type-product, it's very similar to a Calzone, which is basically a baked, closed Pita. :D Kudos to you for cooking. More men need to cook. Microwave pizza pockets don't count. :D

Ah, in a calzone the amount of cheese is way more than we are talking about here.

Plus they're shaped differently.

For the pepperoni roll, it's just a little amount of cheese over the peperoni.

I must confess, I took it upon myself to learn how to cook after eating my wife's spaghetti. I love her to death but DAMN! Swedes don't do pasta. :)

Couldn't she just cook something the day before or find a job where she gets off from work a little earlier? It doesn't seem right to me that you should be slaving over a hot stove when you would be watching TV and drinking beer. ;)

BTW - I do most of the cooking at home too.

Well since I cook, she cleans. So that means I get to sit on my ass and watch Simpsons while she performs damage control in the kitchen.
