I created a monster Lawnmower.

I moved to NC with a John Deer JS63 Lawnmower, the mower started to give problems. I fixed it, changed the carburetor. Next was the washer from the oil stick. I gave up, I bought a Toro Timemaster 33, two blades but my wife wanted a Tractor. The Timemaster 33 is good, fast, but she does not like uneven terrains, and she is weak with wet grass, so I started to look again to the JS63 as the second machine. I bought the Predator 173cc motor, from the Harbor, fits perfect and was so lucky to find a shaft extender for my blade in a flea market for a dollar. The result was a powerful machine, eats and mulch anything, low noise, good gas (40 minutes with a full tank). The shaft is 7/8 and needs a new pulley, I use only Ethanol free gas, a little more expensive but fewer headaches. I recommend this engine for an old Lawnmower, the new Lawnmowers are crap unless I buy a Honda with a $500 tag. This Predator engine is a Honda clone and is powerful.

lol awesome! Got any pics?

I'll vouch for the new mowers being junk. My 3 year old John Deere push is nothing but a headache year after year.
