Ok, by crashed I mean I rear-ended an SUV with a trailer hitch mount (luckily no hitch attached) at about 2-3 mph. (Flash storm and hail. She stopped, but I just slowed. By the time I saw her stopped, I couldn't quite stop due to standing water by that point). There was no damage to the suv of course.
Luckily, all it did was ruin my plastic nose cone. If it had been an inch taller, it would have been in the (thin) aluminum hood.
Anyone want to guess the cost of a nose cone + chrome trim replacement on a Tesla? Bear in mind that despite being a gloss black plastic piece that is identical on all cars, the replacement part is unfinished.
