I crack my index fingers by pushing them towards my palm (usually with my thumb), my middle and ring fingers I like to pull to crack, and my little fingers I like to push back towards the back of my hand.

But for my toes I like to pull them.. oh and I don't crack my back/neck.

Anyone else like to crack different fingers in different ways?

Nope. I crack all my fingers back towords the back-side of my hand. No toe cracking for me. I crack/stretch my back if it's stiff, not chronically.

What wfbberzerker said, also crack my neck and back but don't do toes much since they don't crack as much since you don't move them as much.

Though now I can make a fist slowly and it repeatedly cracks certain fingers over and over until it starts hurting, like after 20 times. :p

I wonder if that's good for you. ;)

I stopped cracking my fingers because of all the joint problems that will result in the future if I continue. I only crack my back sometimes, after lifting weights.

I don't know if this is going to make sense how I say it but...

I can crack my knuckles by just making fists... well, not quite fists, but if I curl my fingers up I can do it in such a way that they crack. I can do this while making them into fists too if I want to.

(Ok, no sexual innuendo here, it's too easy)

I think it's a myth that you will get joint problems.

I think Bill Nye the Science Guy said that it wouldn't cause joint problems (where I get all my medical advice)

After cracking my knuckles a couple times a day consistently for a few months my joints swelled up and I didn't have the range of motion in my fingers that I had before.. Needless to say I stopped cracking them.

I always thought the cracking of joints was harmless, as it's just the passing of synovial fluid from one side of the joint to another.

I always crack about everything.

The best is when i crack my neck and feel each vertabrae going "crack crack crack crack!
Same for my back.

I also crach every finger, and every joint in the finger sidewise, and the joint at the base of my thumb. I can also crack my wrists, elbows, spine, shoulder, knees, ankles, toes, nose

I crack these at every chance I get. There's that certain hidden feelling you get, that you know when to crack them. I crack them everyday, and i feel wierd and that something's missing if i don't crack them.

The crack comes from gas getting between the joints and then escaping quickly when you flex them. Kind of the same concept as smacking your mouth to make a popping sound.

cracking your fingers...that ranks right up there with the people who feel the need to smack a new pack of cigarettes against their palm a hundred times before opening it
