But then I saw the recommendations thread for all the parts current to June 08 and realized that there wasn't really a need for me to be asking questions that are already answered there.

If it were Mac book, you might've gotten it back. A while back, a woman lost her Mac book, but it has a security feature built-in and she traced back to the criminal.

Well, 1st thing I'd suggest is get a backup drive for your files. In order of speed from fastest: eSATA/USB/NAS(LAN). NAS is plug and play.

2nd thing is get a case with a padlock hole & a padlock from walmart. The CM690 has one in the back. No, it won't stop a determined criminal, but it will stop a would-be. Maybe even a surveillance camera (USB webcam works as well with a motion-sensing capture program to update images to a server).

That's a solid build. Pull the trigger. If you overclock, get the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 cooler instead.
