You would have thought that the prosecution would have weeded that lone juror out...

It says 2 whites and one black.
The case involves the 1964 deaths of two white New Yorkers, Andrew Goodman and Michael Schwerner, and James Chaney a black man from Meridian, Mississippi.
Not that race makes any difference, but just so the title is right.

No statute of limitations on Murder.

He should have paid back then and hopefully he WILL pay NOW!

Given the place & era, there's a good chance that somebody on the prosecution made sure he was there.

I bet she could convict a priest if he were molesting her child though.

Stupid ignorant fvck. She should be removed from society and not allowed to breed.

FYI, "Mississippi Burning" was loosely based on this event. The original trial was an outrage and I definately agree justice should be served......but the stigma of our state as viewed by the rest of the country is just going to worsen.

Maybe the preacher needs a trip to Kentucky....

About twelve years ago there was a case where a guy shot a preacher dead. At the trial the guy's defense was more or less "Yeah, I killed him but shouldn't really be considered murder because he was just a preacher".

The jury came back with man slaughter conviction instead of a murder conviction. One jurer stated after the verdict, "The guy was right, he was just a preacher".
