British accents in general have that extra level of sophistication in them..but Blair's voice just exuberates it to a whole new level that makes me turn up the volume whenever he's speaking..
Actually, it's the opposite effect for me: I love British accent, but hearing Tony Blair makes me want to vomit. His voice turns me off.

sometimes they show brit parliament stuff on cspan, its pretty interesting. its like a huge debate with everyone and they all go back and forth with each other

Yeah thats Question Time. Blair regularly takes questions from the shadow government leader and other opposition members. Its like presidential debates, except its unscripted, and it happens more than 3 times every 4 years.

His speach patterns, words he uses sound eerily familiar to G W Bush, yet Blair is a genius because of his accent?

It's not what you say, but how you say it. Of course their words sound familiar... Bush's staff who wrote his speeches probably have equivalent education and experience as Blair.

He speaks proper English that much is sure and he is rather eloquent.

I like the British accent as well.

I don't want his schlong though...😀

Edit-Bush sounds like a preacher man to me. Everytime I hear him speak I feel like I'm at church...not that I've been to church in the past 15 years or so.

What do you guys think about cockney(sp?)

Personally i hate listening to that, makes people sound dumber than a southern drawl

Can you imagine if Bush had to go through Question Time regularly?

It would be absolutely brilliant! GW would likely have Cheney taser them before they could get their questions out.

Betty Boothroyd: Question to the Prime Minister, Mr. Michael Shersby.

Michael Shersby: [ seemingly distracted ] How can.. the Prime minister.. support a law.. that makes it illegal for people.. who.. [ gets to the real point he's been fidgeting with ] ..What I'm trying to say is.. Oasis rules!

Betty Boothroyd: [ sternly ] Mr. Shersby!! You've been warned seven times this month to stop bringing up Oasis!

Michael Shersby: But is not Oasis the greatest British band since the Beatles? Can we not vote on this?!

...

Betty Boothroyd: Orderrrr!! Orderrrr!! Question for the Prime Minister, Mr. Michael Shersby!

Michael Shersby: What steps has the Prime Minister.. taken to prevent Liam Gallagher from leaving?

John Major: Uh.. yes. what exactly is the right gentleman talking about, and who is Liam Gallagher?!

Michael Shersby: He is the lead singer of Oasis! And if he leaves, it will be be bloody awful!

LOL. What is that from?

Edit: Oh apparently SNL. Awesome.
