first try.. tasted like sh!t, then I realized i didnt put enough soy sauce and seasame oil in... damn this stuff is oily as fvck. i needed like 7 - 8 tbsp of oil total ...

so now that i added everything in and restirred, it's pretty good =)

Edit, if you don't know what it is, it's a clear noodle that Koreans eat..

i am korean and i know this dish. i ate it last night. yes seasame seed oil, and lots of it. personally it's too oily for me. but it's good with rice.

you should try dukk bokki with oden soup. and maybe a bottle of soju. and an order of dak bahl tihggium. MMMMM.

mul naeng myun, or at least that's how I spell it. awesome on hot days, especially if they actually put ice in it.

ohohohohohhoh... is it that super spicy one? the noodle is thin and white color right, but it's covered with red sauce.

not spicy at all. cold water, asian pear, radish, buckwheat noodle, boiled egg. flavored with vinegar and mustard sauce.

not to hijack....but I just thought of kimchi chigae my wife cooked a couple of months ago.

it was just odd to see my wife, blond hair and green eyes, in the kitchen whippin up some korean food and it turned out good.

she likes to try recipes she finds online.

Too oily yes. I gave it to a lot of my friends and they said that it's really good cuz it's not as oily as the stuff in the restaurants.

Ahhh what's all this Korean food for me??? I'm not even Korean. Went to a fried chicken place yesterday and had some soju and some seafood soup... I wish I could take alcohol and spicy foods like Koreans =).

Jap Chae is a nasty motherfscker to make. Tastes good, though.

Also, if you don't like it so oily, why add so much oil in the first place?
