I clicked the "trust all content" flag in IE. What a mistake.

I can't reember exactly what the flag says, but when some pages, like yahoo's, load...It asks you idf you want to download a file(I think it's flash stuff). There is a checkbox that says "Always trust content from SOME COMPANY" I made the mistake of checcking it and now it goes to step 2 in the process. The copying of the file to my hard drive. Unfortunately the file ALWAYS gets a copy error which throws 3 error dialogs. VERY annyoying. Thanks again Microsoft. How do I fix this?

Thanks,
Karl:(

i really can't tell you how to fix that other than to try clearing out your browser cache, but i do know that this didn't happen because you clicked always trust content (the same error would happen if you didn't, you would just have to say yes i trust first...) really clearing out you cache should fix it and you can always reset all the preferences if you really think that is what did it...

1. Uninstall flash from your browser. Details here.
2. Tools > Internet options > Advanced > Uncheck "Enable Install on Demand"
3. Put all of the macromedia.com and flash.com download pages into your host file. Details here.
4. Reboot

Karl,

Revisit your Internet Explorer settings under Security and Privacy and correct as needed. You didn't tell us which version of IE you are running, so I can't be any more specific than that.
