Actually maybe not, but that's how the song goes.

On the plus side I got to troubleshoot their AMEX checkout and found that for some reason if your newegg account email account isn't the same as the one you have for your Amex account, then even if you order an item while logged into your newegg account it will automatically process the order under a guest account so you won't have any indication of the order in your order history.

The bad would be the agent seeming to be happy that I "fixed" the issue and I doubt any further work will be done to actually fix the problem.

I don't recall this happening when using visa or mastercard checkouts before, has anyone else seen this?

I liked my chat with newegg a few months ago. I had bought a new PS for my new computer. The day it arrived it was on shellshocker for $30 less. They gave me $30 credit which I used towards memory.

Somehow I can't see enjoying any chat with a merchant that took 90 freaking minutes to resolve my issue!

So I signed up for AMazon prime for the 30 day trial to watch back to the future 1-3 and enabled the "remind in 3 days" before you bill me. I was billed anyway with no email reminder, chatted with amazon, they refunded me in a matter of seconds. (with an email confirmation!)

Awesome support from them as well.

It wouldn't be Soo bad if I thought they'd take the info I gave them and fixed the issue, doubt that will happen though.

Last time I dealt with Newegg support they had sent me an empty box and refused to do anything about it before I started talking about a chargeback.
