WTF? How does that work?

How does that confuse you? Denny's is usually packed late night.

Best ownage I have read about ever! Surprised people didn't aplaud as the crack addict left though.

How is an adult man using his superior size and weight to intimidate (threaten) a teenage girl "ownage"? Looks more like thuggery to me.

Oh we weren't aware that you've met gooddad before and know how big he is? If not, don't assume because you make yourself sound like an ass.

I am assuming he is bigger and stronger than the girl. It's a pretty safe assumption, given average weight and height for adult males versus teenage girls. I am also assuming he used that advantage in height/ weight to intimidate this girl. I don't call that ownage.

Well at least you admit that you made yourself sound like an ass :)

I think my assumptions are reasonable. I'm sure the OP will provide additional info if I am wrong about this. :)

We can build 2 Dennys so we can always say "Let's not go to that one, let's go to the good one!"

The grumpy bltch was clearly in the wrong, and what you did was so very right, but being old shouldn't necessarily be an automatic road to reverence.

winner.

I was standing in line to pick up my take out order from Denny's. There was a girl and a few old ladies ahead of me. The girl was getting mad because her take out order wasnt ready (the girl working was bagging up 3 of them all at once). The lady working the register told her it would be a second and said she would ring up the old ladies who had already ate. The girl that was waiting started flipping out cussing out the girl working the register. The girl did the right thing and rang up the grumpy one. Then one of the old ladies (they were at least 85) asked one of the other old ladies what was going on. The grumpy girl then started cussing out the old ladies. And I mean swearing up a storm.

The ladies looked like they were about to have a heart attack so I spoke up. I yelled at the grumpy chick. "you need to show some respect to the elderly!" The grumpy chick then started swearing at me telling me that the ladies were yelling at her. I told her that they hadn't said a word to her and that she needed to leave them alone. She said a few choice words to me and I got in her face. I told her to quiet down and watch her language. She cussed at me a few more times then I said. "Look, those ladies didnt say a word to you. I am though. If you want to yell at someone, yell at me. But you are just making yourself look stupid." Then she shut up and turned around. By this time everyone in the whole place had quieted down and was staring at me. Even the people working in the kitchen came out to watch. The grumpy chick got her food and left, staring at the floor the entire time. I apoligized to everyone for making a scene. As I was leaving 3 different people stopped me and told me I did the right thing. I really think the grumpy chick was either coked out or a crackhead...but she was way out of line.

why are people deserving of respect just because they are old?

Congratulations, you win most idiotic post of the night. You're a real asshole if you even need to ask that question.

I'm sorry, but the reasons why I should 'respect' the elderly (so often the most racist, sexist, homophobic among us) for no other reason than their age are not self-evident to me. Feel free to provide an explanation.

Imagine those old ladies were your mom or your grandma and I cussed them out at Denny's. Would you not want me to respect them? Or do you think they deserve to be cussed out by me because I was grumpy and impatient. Those old ladies are someones loved one as well and their loved ones would hope the public treats them kindly and with respect.

I think when he said several, that implies more than just almost empty. I think using a few instead of several other couples would've sounded less confusing.

I'm glad you did that GoodDad, I think too many people are like me and don't have the guts to say what is obviously right to correct others. I'm working on killing that idiotic shyness but when it's been ingrained it's pretty hard. :( People like you help the world stay right, no matter how small or large the contributions.

Does that mean you wouldn't stand up against the dumb bitch if those 3 ladies were in their 30s? The point is, their age is irrelevant.
