I can't understand a Canto movie without english subs

Yeah Chinese is hard to understand when spoken really fast and/or with slangs. I can understand it pretty well and speak a lot of it but I have a hard time with TV and movies, especially with the news.

jackie chan's performance in new police story wasn't good. the bad guy did good job.

I finished it 🙂 well it was a simple movie, couldn't get the subs to work

yeah... but jackie was doing more of TEH stuff
bad guys just sh00t, r0b, play around

The ending was sad though 🙁

I don't know any Chinese or anything, but if you can speak it at your own pace, try watching a movie over and over a few times, eventually you'll end up catching on and won't need the subtitles.

You might not pick up on everything at once, but I'm sure over time your skills will improve
