Please forgive me for I'm not the worlds greatest writer but I have to get this out...............

On Tuesday morning I was on my way out the door when my wife called and I heard terror in her voice, I thought that the love of my life was in trouble, and now I realise that even though she is fine physicaly I find that we cannot do anything but donate money to the cause. I have donated to the Red Cross, but now all I can do is try to work but the work I do gives me a lot of time to think as I drive from customer to customer. The only thing I think of is the image of the plane slaming into the south tower. I can't get it out of my mind...........

As I drove from Sacramento to my office in Redwood City today everywhere I looked I saw people at work. On some jobsites they were proudly flying the flag. Even in Berkeley on the new bridge there was a flag. Is it the thought that we are in mourning as a country and people, the reason that we are doing this? Or are we doing it because it is a way that we can show to others that we remember..............

Then it hit me at just what I can do, no we can do. We need to remember!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember that even though we are individuals, we must remember that we are most importantly a group of people, and a world of people that are connected in many ways. We must think of how our actions will effect the others we are connected to and remember that picture of the plane................

:(:|:(:|:Q:|:Q:|

and remember this..............

Thank you Anand for having this site and letting us have this forum.

Simply well put...I'm sorry about how this has affected you, for it has affected me too. I've reevaluated my life and what I do, and how I do it. I hope time will heal, as best it can, this wound for you. We should do everything we can, remember everything we have, and be thankful, because it could be any other way that we couldn't imagine, and the thought of that should be enough for everyone.

I know that feeling.. I basically got nothing done this week and no sleep because that image goes through my mind like a looped video. It's like when a song gets stuck in my head - but I've never had it with an image before. It won't stop. The only things that have helped slow the recurrance of the terrible images are the very good images I've seen - our flag standing proud in the midst of rubble, the British Royal Guard playing the Star-Spangled Banner, President Bush's speech, the overwhelming support from other countries...
