Well, thank god I'm not alone. I'm a dude and just can't get enough of any of her stuff. A few months ago, I had 'Love Story' on repeat for an hour every day. I go through her album (second one, the first one is way, way too pre-pubescent) once every other day.

She's a bit too nice and appreciative in her interviews, but I wouldn't say to the point of being fake/phony. It's better than her being a bitch like most other kid stars though.

i agree. to much makeup is a turnoff to me (she can also gain like 10 lbs).

but from what even other stars say about her is she is just as nice and perky in real life. figured it would be an act heh.

That song about teardrops on a guitar makes me want to rip out my eardrums, but I do get why people like her. Teenage experience is universal. For people at that point it resonates, and for people past that point it helps them recall what it was like, with all the fairly powerful memories that go along with it. Musically it may not be advanced but I will admit she (or whoever writes her music) has a distinctive method of expression that is clear, concise and memorable in evoking those teenage emotions.
